Kormic, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Kormic," "we," "us"), builds a platform that connects verified students with universities through AI agents. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be readable rather than to hide behind length.
When you use Kormic, we collect the information you give us to build your profile and operate your agent. For students, this can include your identity details for verification, your academic record, and the work you choose to connect, such as project or code repositories. For universities, this includes your program information and the details you provide to set up your agent.
We use your information to verify that you are a real person, to build and operate your agent, to match students with relevant programs, and to improve how the platform works. We do not sell your personal information.
Verification is central to Kormic. To confirm you are a real person and that your profile is genuine, we may process identity and record information, sometimes with the help of trusted third-party services. We keep only what we need to establish and maintain that verification.
Your agent acts on your behalf using the information in your profile. It shares that information in conversations you have authorized, and a record of those conversations is kept so that nothing is a black box. You remain in control of what your agent may share and who it may talk to.
We share information only as needed to operate the platform: with the universities or students you choose to engage, and with service providers who help us run Kormic under obligations of confidentiality. We may disclose information where required by law.
You can access, correct, or delete your information, and you can control what your agent does. If you close your account, we remove your personal information except where we are required to keep it.
